Adios!
One.
I am not one for procrastinating, generally. However, there were several times during the
semester that I found myself in a rush to finish and assignment. Most of the assignments were fun to complete
and I did learn something about myself along the way.
Two.
My most formative experience would have to be the second
reading reflection. I learned information
that is directly applicable to my everyday habits. My experience I will remember most would be
the reading reflections in general. I
forgot how much I liked to read and completing the assignments reminded of just
that. For the joyous experience, I would
have to say the “secret sauce” assignment.
I learned some positive things about my character and behavior from the
people that know me best. I am most
proud of the “elevator pitches”. I never
realized how positive a pitch can be even in my line of work. After receiving feedback and conducting some
practice, I have a solid foundation to build from in the future.
Three.
In some respects, I can see myself as an entrepreneur. I know that I have discussed a business concept
and creation with some friends of mine.
I have even fished around for some investors. But I have yet to take the plunge mainly due
to my risk aversion. From the course, I did
develop a greater understanding how to move in the entrepreneurial direction or
mindset.
Four.
My recommendation would be, read. Find something that you are passionate about
or interested in and determine what is out there. Try to learn from others who have succeeded
or failed even. For the best course
performance, you need to be engaged and time management skills would help as
well. To foster the mindset, I would
reach out to the other entrepreneurs.
Find someone to mentor you.

Dan, I enjoyed reading your reflection because you have been so consistent in completing your assignments. I can remember all your pitches and other assignments because of the peer reviews. It's like I watched you learn along side me. It's nice to know that someone who doesn't even consider themselves a procrastinator can still get a little last minute with things. I think its a good thing to be a little adverse to risk, but it's all about balance! Like a portfolio... mix it up, and it can pay off... just don't put all your eggs in the risky baskets. Have a good life, Dan!!
ReplyDeleteHey Dan, I too felt that during the semester I waited until last second to work on my assignments. Those assignments often went uncompleted. I learned throughout the semester how to better manage my time, what about you? I remember seeing your elevator pitches. You have a very good speaking voice and your confidence in front of the camera shows.
