Possible Opportunities from the Tampa Bay Times

For this assignment, I reviewed local newspaper articles.  Here is what I found. 1. "Gas Prices May Hurt Summer Travel" The article addresses the fact that crude oil prices have been on the rise.  They also provide some statistics to how sharply prices have risen over a given period, which is the Memorial Day Weekend.  According to their point of view, Gasbuddy.com predicts a decrease in overall travel due to the fuel increase; however, AAA rebuts that fact and essentially says there will be more travel this summer than in years past. Everyone in the state of Florida could potentially be impacted if fuel prices do drive down travelers.  In this state, we are a society of services.  People travel to Florida for our beaches and theme parks, so our economy relies heavily on the tourism dollars. If travel decreases, so could our general revenue. 2. "Busy, But Not Enough" The article talks about the ongoing boom of home building in the greater Tampa Bay area....

Breakfast at Tiffany's, well sorta

Belief: For the past several years I have lived in the Wesley Chapel area of Florida.  The area has one of the fastest growths in the Tampa Bay region; however, there remains to be any establishment for serving breakfast.  The citizens of Wesley Chapel have to travel to the surrounding area in order to meet this need.  The closest predominately breakfast restaurants are located in Zephyrhills, Lutz, and North Tampa.  With the best of these being a local bagel joint in Lutz. Based on personal beliefs I feel this need is unmet with a reasonable certainty of 80%.  Potential Customer - Wesley Chapel resident Customer #1 - Male late 30's How often do you eat out on a weekly basis? Test for ENT 3003 1D completion

Well here I sit at my dining room table listening to the rain drops as they crash against the window.  I ponder to myself as I write a test blog for the new UF semester. Ah! such is life, and now I must get ready for work. Until the next time. Dan
